El Salvador Buys $1.5m Bitcoin at $19.000, Says Thanks For Selling Cheap

The Central American country of El Salvador has acquired an additional 80 Bitcoin at a price of $19,000 according to El Presidente’s tweet.

President Bukele has made the announcement official on crypto twitter thanking everyone for “selling cheap” and stating that “Bitcoin is the future!”. Bukele has also included his orderbook of recent Bitcoin purchases.

President Nayib Bukele has previously announced several mode purchases of Bitcoin since it became legal tender in September 2021. El Salvador now owns 2,381 Bitcoins.

Bukele seems display all of the traits of a crypto believer including checking the charts multiple times a day, as this tweet from December 2021 is living proof.
