A surprising change took place on Twitter’s menu Monday evening as the platform’s logo was replaced with the Dogecoin symbol. The leading lore behind the timing of it is that Memelord Elon Musk wanted it up a couple of days after April Fool’s to state that this is no joke and that DOGE might be playing an important role on the Twitter platform in the future.

As you might expect, the Elon effect was strong on this move with DOGE pumping over 30% the day people saw it. I would like to take this moment to congratulate twitter user Tree Of Alpha and the Front end Intern at Twitter that undoubtedly leverage-traded this move. I mean — is it really Insider trading if your boss asks you to change a logo and you leverage your house on the Elon Effect?

Speculation around Dogecoin’s role on Twitter Dogecoin’s most significant hype occurred in spring 2021 when its price exceeded $0.50, largely driven by Elon Musk. With a history of advocating for cryptocurrencies, particularly Dogecoin, Musk’s intentions to transform Twitter’s business model are evident. It’s all just a matter of piecing this together like a detective high as hell on caffeine at the peak of sleep deprivation paranoia.
